The House of Europe and Orient is a European cultural pool, founded in 1989 and located in Paris. Among its activities is a theatre company, the National Theater of Syldavia, directed by Dominique Dolmieu. It has staged 17 performances since 1991. The company performed in about 20 European countries, from France to Georgia, including the official selection in Avignon festival. The staged texts are mainly in-yer-face and documentary playwritings from Balkan and Caucasus.
There is about no setting. The performance is based on a bi-frontal scenography, that can be set on stage. Subtitles are available.
